Invitación de Lafayette College

El escultor Alastair Noble, Profesor Asistente en el Departamento de Arte de la Escuela de Lafayette en Easton Pennsylvannia; visita la Ciudad Abierta, ofreció charla para la Escuela de Arquitectura y Diseño PUCV y además realizó un signo escultórico en Ritoque. Después de esta interesante experiencia, invita al profesor José Balcells para que realice, al igual que él; una charla para su casa de estudios en Estados Unidos.

      Dear Mr. Balcells,

      I am happy to extend an invitation to you to speak al Lafayette Collage as guest artist for the Office of Intercultural Development and the Department of Art. This visit will coincide with an exhibition of your artwork at the David A. Portlock Black Cultural Center on the campus of Lafayette College. The date for you talk has been scheduled for Monday, October 30 at 4:00 p.m. The proposed dates for you visit to Lafayette College are October 27 – November 6, 2007.

      The exhibition, as of this moment will be titled, “the Poetic Dimension of a Country” works by José Balcells.” The exhibition is set open on September 12, 2007 and will run trough November 2, 2007 at the Portlock Black Cultural Center Gallery. The gallery is located at 101 McCartney Street, Easton, Pennsylvania.

      For the above services, Lafayette College will provide travel expenses and lodging during your residency, and cover meals. In addition, the college will produce an exhibition catalogue.
